The club was set up in keeping with the traditions of karate as taught in Okinawa the home of karate .

To carry on the traditions and teachings of Chogun Miyagi and the Budo way of life and respect to others with a focus on the practices and principles of Okinawan Karate - pure self defence and self development, not sport.
Description
The club conducts age specific Goju Ryu classes for the Ashmore PCYC on Mondays and Wednesdays. The club is an affiliate Dojo of the Southern Cross Martial Arts Association Inc and the Okinawa Goju Ryu Kenkyukai.
As of June 2nd 2014 Class times are:
5 to 7 year olds (Junior Dragons) - 4pm to 4:45pm
8 to 12 year olds (Red Dragons) - 5pm to 6pm
13+ (Goju Ryu) - 6pm to 7:30pm
